On the occasion of International Women's Day 2025, Aster Volunteers, in collaboration with Amity University, Department of Media Studies, Dubai, hosted the 5th edition of the Diva Program, celebrating women leaders and their transformative impact. Themed “Women of Today: Accelerating Ambition,” the event featured an inspiring conversation between Indian Olympic Boxer & Former Rajya Sabha Member Ms. Mary Kom and Ms. Alisha Moopen, MD & Group CEO, Aster DM Healthcare. The event also featured inspiring addresses by Dr. Malathi Arshanapalai (Group Chief Medical & Quality Officer, Aster DM Healthcare), Prof. Rafid Alkhaddar (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Dubai), Dr. Rajneesh Mishra (Dean, HAAS), and Dr. Seema Sangra (Program Leader, Media Studies, Amity University). Ms. Mary Kom, a global icon of strength and determination, shared her journey from an aspiring athlete to a symbol of perseverance. Aster DM Healthcare reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace, pledging to elevate more women into leadership roles. Ms. Alisha Moopen, a vocal advocate of women empowerment, commented on the role of women in shaping the global economy, emphasizing how women at Aster are not just participants but active decision-makers in shaping the future of healthcare. We extend a heartfelt thanks to the Department of Media Studies, and the management team from Amity University, Dubai, for their support in bringing this event to life. DIVA 2025 continues to serve as a powerful platform for driving change and reinforcing the importance of gender equality.
