This World Health Day, Aster Volunteers UAE collaborated with the Media Studies Department of Amity University Dubai for a joint medical conference on the theme: "Combating Obesity for a Better Future", held at Medcare Royal Hospital, Al Qusais, Dubai. The conference featured a thought-provoking case study presentation titled: "The Plus-Size, Weight Bias, and Obesity: The State of Plus-Size Media Narratives" by Dr. Seema Sangra, Program Leader, Media Studies, Amity University Dubai. An eBook launch also took place during the event, further enriching the conversation. Dr. Malathi Arshanapalai, Chief Medical and Quality Officer, Aster DM Healthcare, graced the event as the Guest of Honour.
