Launch of Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services Rwanda and Uganda
Access to primary healthcare remains a challenge for many underserved communities in Rwanda and Uganda, where distance, affordability, and limited resources make it difficult for people to receive even basic medical care. To help bridge this gap, Aster Volunteers, in association with Ministry of Health-Uganda, Health Development Initiative-Rwanda (HDI) and the Big Heart Foundation, has launched its 64th and 65th Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Units (AVMMS) to serve the people of Rwanda and Uganda. The new mobile clinics were officially flagged off by Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, alongside Dr. Aflodis Kagaba, Executive Director of HDI, with representatives from the Big Heart Foundation, in presence of the Aster leadership team and employees. Equipped with Tele Health and advanced medical facilities — including consultation rooms, mini labs, and medicine dispensing units — these mobile clinics will deliver free, quality healthcare directly to remote and marginalized populations.

Sarfras Navas - Engineer
