Indoor Plant Distribution on World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2024, Aster Volunteers has initiated the distribution of air purifying indoor plant - Dracaena Trifasciata (commonly known as Snake Plant) to the receptions & common desks in various hospitals, clinics & offices in UAE as part of our Aster Green Choices Initiative. We have distributed around 300 plants across the UAE with a co-branding of the operational unit, Aster Green Choices and Aster Volunteers. Mr. TJ Wilson (Executive Director) handed over the first plant to our Chairman, Dr.Azad Moopen on 5th June 2024 (World Environment Day) and kick-started the distribution. We hope this shall reinforce our commitment to our mother earth and serve as a reminder of the importance of plants & trees in producing fresh oxygen by decarbonizing in our daily life. We hope the efforts shall make room for more desks with natural indoor plants in our premises as there are difficulties in planting trees on the day in the region due to various factors. Sarfras Navas - Engineer
<p>Sarfras Navas was involved with distributing of food kits and a blood donation camp in Rashidiya. He expressed satisfaction in lending helping hand and in turn, being a hero to someone in times of need. He is also grateful for meeting people he would not have gotten the chance to interact with, if not for the volunteering experience.</p>
