Drawing Competition on Occasion of Environment Day 2024

Lives Impacted: 140

Aster Volunteers Celebrate World Environment Day with 4th Annual Drawing Competition! Our amazing team at Aster Hospital Mankhool organized a drawing competition for children residing at Mankhool, highlighting the theme: "Say No to Plastic, Heal the Earth, Heal Our Future." Ms. Richa Jain (Artist and External Volunteer) led the drawing competition by coordinating the whole activities. We were thrilled to see over 140 talented young artists participated, submitting a stunning array of drawings! The competition featured 3 age categories: 5-8, 9-13, and 13+, with prizes awarded to the top entries in each group. Post-competition, the kids and their parents enjoyed an inspiring Art & Therapy session led by Mr. Sugat Priyadarshi (HOD-JSS Int'l School UAE). The Pediatrics Department of Aster Hospital Mankhool also played a key role, with Dr. Nisha Ravindran delivered health awareness session for everyone. We were honored by the presence of our esteemed chief guests: Shri Bijender Singh Consul (Consular & MADAD), Mr. Ahmad Al Awadhi Rukni (Renowned Emirati Artist), Mr. Muhammed Yusuf (Features Writer - Gulf Today), Mr. Atul Panase (Art Consultant & Mentor). Sincere thanks to Rainbow Water and Staedtler for supporting the event with food and goodies for all participants! Together, we celebrated creativity, environmental awareness, and community spirit. Here's to healing our planet and nurturing our future, one drawing at a time!
