Baby Alankrithas Story

Lives Impacted:

Making sure baby Alankrith grew up healthy and happy.

When we first met little Alankrith, an 18-month-old boy from Thrissur, his condition was quite serious. He had contracted a chest infection which was rapidly deteriorating and had to be transferred from a hospital in Thrissur to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Aster Medcity, Kochi for Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO) treatment. His parents were unable to afford the care Alankrith needed, but fortunately, he didn’t need the ECMO treatment and ASK subsidized the cost for his care. Baby Alankrith recently celebrated his 2nd birthday, beaming from ear to ear for the photos, giving our team of volunteers all the motivation they need to continue the great work they are doing.
